I always get a lot of questions about what camera I use and how I take
pictures. I don't know how helpful this will be but at least I can
answer the questions.
Camera
I use the Canon EOS Rebel T3. Most of my pictures are taken with either the AUTO or MACRO function.
Lighting and Where I Take My Photos
Although the DSLR camera is the main reason why my pictures are relatively good, another reason is the location where I take pictures. I don't have fancy light box or anything of the sort. I simply take pictures in my bathroom. The lights in my restroom are ideal for taking closeup shots of my eye makeup. It took a while to be able to take better pictures, but I ended up finding a solution to take better pictures. I would suggest trying different forms of lighting, and if all else fails, maybe build a simple light box.
