Product Information
"The secret of Japanese facial blotting paper (Aburatorigami) is in the exceptional smoothness of the paper and the high absorptive quality of its gentle fibers. Because of its smoothness, Aburatorigami makes near perfect contact with the surface of the skin, without penetrating into its pores. This action allows Aburatorigami to remove the "excess" oil or moisturizer, without drying the skin." (wawaza.com)

Product Review
I've tried a few different blotting sheets, and I can say that these work just as well as any others. I can't say these work miracles because..well...they just blot excess oil. They do not take off my foundation or smudge my makeup, which is a huge added plus. They can be a life saver during these hot summer days when you sweat and your face gets shiny. I will usually always have this in my purse just in case!
I've also tried blotting y face after moisturizer to ensure that my foundation lasts longer and it definitely works!

Marla
I'm a powder foundation fan, with a touch of concealer underneathe.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite are the mousse and liquid foundation
ReplyDeleteI love BB-creams!
ReplyDeletePauliina
I'm fond of using BB creams! :)
ReplyDeleteI prefer mousse or liquid foundation usually, but lately I've been making my own tinted moisturizer since I recently moved to a drier climate.
ReplyDeleteI can't answer the question as posed, because honestly? I hardly ever wear makeup. :P I only read like two makeup blogs (Maryam Maquillage is the other one) and it's because I love seeing the looks you put together and you showing how you did it. I pretty much skip the product reviews, but this one looked interesting. I have ridiculously oily skin, and the addition of dry skin in the past year since I started taking Adderall has messed up my routine. I used to be able to just wash my face thoroughly every day with whatever soap I bought that didn't have perfumes (most artificial scents give me a headache) but now I find that if I don't use a moisturizing soap, I get ugly flakes all over my forehead and around my eyes. But using a moisturizing soap just doesn't keep the oil off my face all day, but I haven't yet reached the level of annoyance that would justify taking soap to work to wash my face after lunch every day. :P Blotting paper hadn't occurred to me!
ReplyDeleteAlso, I always enjoy finding yet -another- use for the wonderful product that is hemp. I don't smoke the drug variety, but I'm a staunch Libertarian, and the "war on drugs" annoys the heck out of me. Hemp most of all, considering the manner in which it was propagandized against, and the fact that the paper companies and rope manufacturers, of all things, were the ones to originally finance the advertising against the plant.
my fave is blush on :)
ReplyDeleteBB cream!
ReplyDeleteI love Asian BB Cream too!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE blotting papers.
ReplyDeleteI use a powder foundation, no concealer.
ReplyDeleteI usually use liquid foundation for oily skin, plus finishing powder, but lately I've been trying the BB creams (US versions). I really like them but nothing seems to control the oily breakthrough for me. I have tried powder foundations but didn't get enough coverage. I depend on blotting papers! Thank you for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI love Liquid foundations :)
ReplyDeleteSometimes BB cream ,powder foundation or tinted moisturizer.

i don't wear foundation, sometimes i put sum covergirl powder on but its the very little coverage kind, almost translucent. i do that only because my face gets SO oily and shiny throughout the day i do it wen i leave the house hoping to lessen the shine. i want to check out and try bb cream one of these days, since i dont use moisturizer cuz all of them make my face greasy. blotting papers is something i need to invest it lol.

ReplyDeletei dont use foundation, i like my natural skin to show through. :) i only use powder to elminate shine, the one i have doesn't work very well lol.
ReplyDeleteI use only concealer and powder, because where I live they don't sell light olive foundations.
ReplyDeleteI love mineral powder foundations its so light~!
ReplyDeleteBB creams are my thing right now. I can't put them down!!
ReplyDeleteI'm not much a foundation fan, as I tend to rub it off anyway! XD But, if I do use it I stick with mineral, or stick for coverage.
